I'm not sure if it was right. But I guess I just had to call and wish him a happy 25th birthday.

The fact that was actually anticipating today about a week or so ago and that I should do something, I regretfully forgot. I'm really sorry. Or, maybe I don't need to be too sorry since I'm not expected to do anything. Just 過意不去.

Just call it fate that I suddenly recalled the significance of today 22 March at 11.10pm after being excited about Taiwan's Presidential Election. With some guilt (for almost forgetting) and happiness (still happy that he's getting older and hopefully wiser ;P) and not-sure-what-I-should/can/is-feeling, I called.

First, it was voice mail - maybe he's driving? Or maybe it's just the connection problem. I called again.
Second, yup he picked up. I don't really know to be sad or just surprised that he's got a friend who's breaking up soon on his birthday and the girl who broke up with him called.

Think about, it sounds a bit funny, doesn't it? This string of events strung together. 2 past and present not-so-happy events/people happening on a HAPPY birth-DAY.

*shrugs & smiling dumbly to my wall of postcards*
